Ownership history
Brand lineage from 1845, when Jan van Ryn arrived at the Cape and set up the Van Ryn Wine and Spirit Company; Vlottenburg distillery dates to 1905. Also makes Richelieu and Viceroy. Current owner not confirmed on a fetched page (Richelieu is listed among Distell brands).
